Wendy Umanoff is a lighting fixture designer and is principle of Umanoff Design. She credits her passion for modern architecture and her love of abandoned antiquities with greatly influencing her unconventional approach to design. Wendy focuses on creating custom, one-of-a-kind, and limited edition lighting fixtures, designed and fabricated in Richmond, Virginia. Her established relationships with local artisans ensure that her custom design work represents excellence.

My clients who come to me are unique, each with specific lighting design needs. Helping them make choices that result in a light fixture they love is what matters most to me. Our lighting designs offer an opportunity for inspiration, connection, and a feeling of being understood. Wendy has designed collections for Shades of Light for the past 14 years. Her work can be seen hanging in restaurants, hotels and homes across the country and Canada.
